Generation restoration: Youth consultation toolkit for National Restoration Plans

The climate and biodiversity crises require us to move beyond conservation towards active ecosystem restoration. The EU Nature Restoration Regulation is the first legally binding framework to restore nature across Europe, but its success depends on meaningful public participation.

As EU Member States develop their National Restoration Plans (NRPs), young people have a unique opportunity to help shape restoration priorities and actions. This toolkit provides practical guidance for engaging with the NRP process, whether through consultations, advocacy, campaigns, or local initiatives.

By empowering youth participation in nature restoration, this toolkit helps transform young people from observers into active co-designers of a more resilient, nature-positive future.
