Who We Are
Our origin
During the 2018-2019 climate protests, young people across Europe were looking for opportunities to engage in the climate movement at a European level and seize the momentum of the movement. In order to maximise their impact, representatives from some of the largest youth-led organisations in Europe decided to unite their forces, and created Generation Climate Europe.
Over the past six years, Generation Climate Europe has established a reputation at the EU level as a leading voice where youth and climate intersect. We are recognised as the go-to power conveners, bringing decision-makers, young citizens, and youth and climate NGOs to the table.
Today we are the
largest coalition of youth-led networks at the European level on climate and environmental issues!
