About Us

Our Member Organisations

We were born out of the cooperation between a group of European youth organisations, who later became our first member organisations. Several other organizations have joined our network since then, and we now bring together 381 national organisations across 46 countries.


Our member organisations are our most important partners in our mission to unite European youth in our fight for a just green transition. Read more about them below.

AEGEE is one of Europe’s biggest interdisciplinary student organisations, striving for a democratic, diverse and borderless Europe. Founded in 1985 in Paris, today AEGEE has grown to a Network of 13,000 AEGEEans, present in 161 cities in 40 countries all over Europe.

The Erasmus Student Network (ESN) is one of the biggest student organisations in Europe. Present at over 1000 Higher Education Institutions, it unites over 50 local associations in 45 countries. ESN works for the creation of a more mobile and flexible education environment by supporting and developing student exchanges from different levels and providing an intercultural experience.

The European Students’ Union (ESU) is the umbrella organisation of 44 National Unions of Students (NUS) from 40 countries. ESU promotes the interests of students at the European level towards all relevant bodies, particularly the EU, Bologna Follow Up Group, Council of Europe and UNESCO. ESU represents almost 20 million students in Europe.

FIMCAP is the international federation of 33 catholic parochial youth movements, but even more a family of youth workers, youth and children all over the world. FIMCAP aims to unite and support member organizations, to help tackle the specific needs of young people all over the world. Finally, to be a voice for young people in international institutions.

IYNF is an international organisation bringing together Young Nature friends and their organisations across Europe. It was established in 1975 and currently has 16 member and 10 partner organisations. With more than 120.000 young members organised in over a thousand local groups, it is one of the major European youth organisations.

The Organising Bureau of European School Student Unions (OBESSU) is the umbrella organisation of national school student unions active in general secondary and secondary vocational education in Europe. Founded in 1975, it brings together organisations from across Europe, promoting equal access to education, solidarity among students and enabling exchanges of experience and good practice among the national school students unions.

The Young European Federalists (JEF Europe) is a political youth NGO advocating for the creation of a democratic European federation as a guarantee for peace, the rule of law and human rights. JEF Europe promotes true European citizenship, works for the widening and deepening of the European Union and strives for a more just and integrated society on the European continent. Established in 1972, the organisation has more than 10,000 activists organised in over 250 national, regional and local sections in 31 countries.
