This paper represents the position of young European advocates on the EU Biodiversity Strategy for 2030. Initially adopted by the European Commission in 2020, the EU Biodiversity Strategy for 2030 is an ambitious communication that aims to propose long-term objectives on biodiversity conservation and restoration. The current biodiversity crisis must be taken seriously, and inclusive policies must be adopted to tackle every issue related to biodiversity loss. The position paper thus aims to review and assess current biodiversity issues and how policy makers are addressing these topics through comprehensive laws and regulations. Overall, the EU Biodiversity Strategy for 2030 must include the views and knowledge of youth, as young generations should not carry the burden of a degraded planet.
