In May UNEP and the Belgian Presidency of the Council of the EU hosted a high-level conference – Threads of Change: Systemic Transformation of the Textile Sector. This brought together industry leaders, policy makers, and youth to reflect on the systemic transformation required to ensure the sustainability of the textiles sector and its contribution to just transition. The aftermath of this was the creation of the “Systemic Transformation for Textiles Youth Manifesto”.
