Project Officer on Textiles

About Us

Generation Climate Europe (GCE) is the largest coalition of youth-led networks on climate and environmental issues at the European level. GCE unites the largest youth-led networks, bringing together 381 national organisations across 46 countries in Europe. We are guided by the voices of over 20 million young Europeans. GCE creates a platform for the youth to advocate for a just and green transition in Europe. GCE envisions a system that respects human rights and the planet, that includes the voice of youth and acknowledges our common, but differentiated responsibility in achieving a carbon-neutral and sustainable world.

About the Role

The Circular Economy Working Group is now looking for a passionate and enthusiastic individual to become a Textile Project Co-Lead. If you are interested in circular economy issues in the EU, particularly in environmental challenges related to sustainable textiles, and motivated to join a highly diverse group of young people working towards tackling climate and environmental issues, apply now!
The Textiles Project Team will advocate for more circular and sustainable textile value chains at the EU level, with the aim of highlighting the negative environmental impacts of the textiles industry. The goal is for you to help raise awareness about the negative environmental impacts of the textiles industry and empower young citizens to meaningfully engage in EU decision-making processes, while advocating for more stringent and ambitious legislation on the circularity and sustainability of the textile industry. You do not need to have previous working experience nor be an expert on these topics but we would appreciate it if you could demonstrate a genuine interest.
