Volunteer as: Project Lead on Future Generations Advocacy

About Us

Generation Climate Europe (GCE) is the largest coalition of youth-led networks on climate and environmental issues at the European level. GCE unites the largest youth-led networks, bringing together 381 national organisations across 46 countries in Europe. We are guided by the voices of over 20 million young Europeans. GCE creates a platform for the youth to advocate for a just and green transition in Europe. GCE envisions a system that respects human rights and the planet, that includes the voice of youth and acknowledges our common, but differentiated responsibility in achieving a carbon-neutral and sustainable world.

About the Role

GCE has been working on the concept of Future Generations since 2020 and has now decided to place it at the core of its work. We believe that intergenerational justice should play a key role in climate and environmental decision-making processes in the EU. This is crucial to ensure that the interests of young people and future generations are fully considered when decisions are taken by the EU and its Member States.

The Future Generations team needs an Advocacy Project Lead who would co-lead (with another person) the advocacy part of our work on intergenerational justice. Our Advocacy Project aims to advocate for the integration of intergenerational justice in EU decision-making processes on climate and sustainability issues. We would love to recruit someone who believes in the necessity of mainstreaming the application of intergenerational justice across different environmental policy areas.
