Generation Climate Europe (GCE) is the largest coalition of youth-led networks on climate and environmental issues at the European level. GCE unites the largest youth-led networks, bringing together 381 national organisations across 46 countries in Europe. We are guided by the voices of over 20 million young Europeans. GCE creates a platform for the youth to advocate for a just and green transition in Europe.

About the Role

The Circular Economy Working Group has one general meeting every month for an hour. As Project Lead, you will be expected to attend these meetings on a regular basis and actively participate. will work closely with our Coordinators to ensure the work of the Digitalisation team on the different projects. The Digitalisation Project group usually meets every two weeks to discuss next steps and divide tasks.

If you are interested in circular economy issues in the EU, particularly in environmental challenges related to digitalisation, and motivated to join a highly diverse group of young people working towards tackling climate and environmental issues, apply now! ​​You do not need to have previous working experience nor be an expert on these topics but we would appreciate it if you could demonstrate a genuine interest.

The Digitalisation Project Team will focus on the Right to Repair and the Critical Raw Material Act with the aim of reducing waste, limiting resources use, and reducing the emissions associated with current energy intensive industries. The Right to Repair has also the potential to strengthen the rights of consumers to repair products at fair prices, and improve companies’ accountability and transparency.

About You

  • You are able to deliver quality content as expected through previously stated deadlines.
  • You have a genuine interest in circular economy topics in Europe.
  • You can work remotely and have reliable internet and computer access.
  • You are able to motivate people toward common objectives.
  • You are connected to the European context: as we focus on EU advocacy, we welcome applicants with an interest and general understanding of how the EU operates and/or a European background that facilitates this knowledge. It is preferable that you are based within a timezone that is -2 or +2 from CET/CEST as it is our main working territory.

  • Extensive network within the field of: climate, European policy, youth advocacy, digitalisation.
  • Knowledge of an additional (European) language.
