About Us
Generation Climate Europe (GCE) is the largest coalition of youth-led networks on climate and environmental issues at the European level. GCE unites the largest youth-led networks, bringing together 381 national organisations across 46 countries in Europe. We are guided by the voices of over 20 million young Europeans. GCE creates a platform for the youth to advocate for a just and green transition in Europe. GCE envisions a system that respects human rights and the planet, that includes the voice of youth and acknowledges our common, but differentiated responsibility in achieving a carbon-neutral and sustainable world.
About the Role
Since its foundation in 2019, GCE has grown to over 230 volunteers from various countries around Europe, operating on a remote basis. In 2021, GCE registered as an international non-profit association in Belgium (AISBL). Becoming a legal entity unlocked a lot of potential funding sources for the coalition and hence required the establishment of an Operations Team, focusing mostly on administrative, financial, legal, and membership matters. The role of the Head of Operations is to lead the Operations Team and develop GCE’s operational capacity.
Please note that this is a volunteer position.
