About Us
Generation Climate Europe (GCE) is the largest coalition of youth-led networks on climate and environmental issues at the European level. GCE unites the largest youth-led networks bringing together 381 national organisations across 46 countries in Europe. We are guided by the voices of over 20 million young Europeans. GCE creates a platform for the youth to advocate for a just and green transition in Europe. GCE envisions a system that respects human rights and the planet, that includes the voice of youth and acknowledges our common, but differentiated responsibility in achieving a carbon-neutral and sustainable world.
About the Role
GCE working groups and various flagship projects organise many online events every year (roundtables, webinars, masterclasses, etc.). We are looking for a person who could support each team in the step-by-step organisation of their events, with possibly some experience in (online) event planning. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who is able to work autonomously on the organisation of GCE online events and provide technical support if needed. The Events Lead will join the Operations Team and work closely with the Head of Operations.
Please note that this is a volunteer position.
Tasks
- Create an internal calendar to better plan all GCE events and increase event planning efficacy;
- Support the event organisers throughout the whole event organisation and in post-event steps;
- Provide technical support during the events;
- Gather data on events engagement;
- Liaise with the Communications Team for the promotion strategy of the events.
