About Us
Generation Climate Europe (GCE) is the largest coalition of youth-led networks on climate and environmental issues at the European level. GCE unites the largest youth-led networks bringing together 381 national organisations across 46 countries in Europe. We are guided by the voices of over 20 million young Europeans. GCE creates a platform for the youth to advocate for a just and green transition in Europe. GCE envisions a system that respects human rights and the planet, that includes the voice of youth and acknowledges our common, but differentiated responsibility in achieving a carbon-neutral and sustainable world.
About the Role
European Parliament elections taking place in June 2024 will be a crucial moment for the climate and youth agenda at the EU level, determining possible political majorities for the next 5 years and significantly influencing the fate of the European Green Deal agenda. Young people were a key push for the European Green Deal in 2019 and it’s crucial our voices are heard once again. The role of the Project Lead on Capacity-Building (European Parliament Elections) will be to lead the engagement of GCE on capacity-building around the European Parliament elections in 2024 in collaboration with our Member Organisations.

- Design and implement capacity-building activities around the European Parliament elections with support from the European Parliament Elections Coordinator.
- Follow the developments of GCE Member Organisations’ projects, in particular their capacity-building activities.
- Identify and liaise with relevant partners to strengthen our capacity-building impact with support from the European Parliament Elections Coordinator.
- Work together with the European Parliament Elections Coordinator to collaborate with the Working Group Coordinators to liaise on the work of elections.
