What IS GCE?
Generation Climate Europe (GCE) is the largest coalition of youth-led networks at the European level, pushing for stronger action from the EU on climate and environmental issues. GCE brings together 460 national organisations across 47 countries in Europe. We are guided by the voices of 20 million young Europeans.
Mission
Uniting European youth networks, GCE creates a platform for the youth to advocate for a just and green transition in Europe.
More specifically, GCE aims to:
- Facilitate internal coordination and collaboration between our Member Organisations;
- Empower young people to meaningfully engage in EU decision-making processes on climate, environmental and sustainability issues;
- Advocate for stronger action on environment and climate by and in the European Union that proactively and regularly includes the voices of young people.
Vision
GCE envisions a system that respects human rights and the planet, that includes the voice of youth and acknowledges our common, but differentiated responsibility in achieving a carbon-neutral and sustainable world.
